DWI defense attorney Tom Anelli founded Anelli Xavier, P.C. and grew it into the nation’s largest law firm focusing on DWI defense.

After leaving, Anelli Xavier in 2017, Tom founded Tom Anelli & Associates, P.C.

He is selected as SuperLawyer, due to his reputation with other lawyers and his stellar reputation among his clients.  AVVO, an organization that ranks lawyers nationally, lists Tom as a Superb Lawyer (10/10), The National Trial Lawyers Association has listed him on their list of the Top 100 Trial Lawyers, and the Association of Distinguished Counsel has ranked him among the top 10% of lawyers nationally.

Tom holds a certification in the Science of Evidential Breath Alcohol Testing, and is factory trained by the President of National Patent Analytical Systems on the breath testing instrument most used by local law enforcement. He is also a NHTSA Certified Practitioner and Instructor in Standardized Field Sobriety Testing.

Further, Tom is the author of the New York Edition of The DUI Book: A Citizen’s Guide to Understanding DWI – DWI Litigation in America.   Tom has appeared nationally as a regular legal commentator on TruTV.

He earned his BA at Syracuse University and his Juris doctor at St. Thomas University School of Law before earning admission to the New York State Bar Association in 1997.
